Observant and keen from the youthful age of 5, I started drawing the moment I could grip a pencil. From science books to shopping lists, nothing was safe from the spontaneous doodle of a spaceport, or the clockwork guts of a mechanical death squirrel. More a thing of play than a nurtured gift, these artistic scribbles did little more than push me towards choosing artistic subjects to study as schooling progressed.
Taking every Art class that reared it's head in schools, and later making pivitol descisions to study Fine Art, Art Contextual Studies and Digital Media.. as well as a dabbling in photography at college level. I found my style changing and adapting to the challenges thrown my way from teachers and peers. Taking alot of inspiration from online artists, such as Coey Kuhn and Daniel Conway, slowly but surely my traditional training lent strength to my undertaking as a digital artist.
Moving onto Winchester School of Art for some bolstering to my training and gaining an extra year of personal artwork that was slowly making the progression from amatuer to intermediate. Based purely on personal artwork I was able to gain an Uncontitional place at Solent University and chase the dream of designing game characters for a living. Something that had sparked itself the moment my parents purchased my first Amiga600, way back in god knows when.
Now, as I nudge a professional level with my personal artwork, and continue to develop trained skills in 3DstudioMax and Zbrush, I find myself prowling for a slot in the ranks of an industry I once considered a far off daydream.
